Why I Work Differently

Most coaches meet you in an office. I meet you in the life you actually have — one that’s yours alone, lived by someone who’s like no one else.

I’m a Life Coach, and I mean that literally — not because “life” sounds broader than “nutrition” or “fitness,” but because your life doesn’t come apart into separate pieces that can be fixed one at a time. The clutter in your house, the way your kids talk to you, the tension with your husband, the ache from a mother who still gets under your skin — none of that lives in a different room from your health. It’s all the same room. Your body keeps the score for everything else going on around it, and if I only ever see the symptom, I’ll never get you to the source.

That’s the problem with a sterile office. Everyone performs a little in one — even without meaning to. You’ll tell me the version of your week that sounds manageable, not the one that’s actually true. So instead of starting there, I start at your house. Before we ever begin real coaching, we go through an intensive intake — a week, sometimes two — where I come to you. I want to see the pantry, not hear about it. I want to know who’s actually sleeping down the hall, and where you land at the end of a day that’s harder than you let on. We’ll take a walk or a hike together, not for exercise, but so I can see, plainly, what your body can already do. None of this is about catching you in something. It’s about meeting the real version of you, not the edited one — because that’s the only version I can actually help.

I won’t pretend this fits everyone. It asks you to be known, fully, by someone standing in your kitchen — and some people aren’t ready for that yet. It also asks you to eat real food; if meat, fish, or eggs are entirely off the table for you, we’re probably not a match. But if you’re ready to be seen as you actually are, mess included, that’s exactly where the real work begins.
